Bought this car in July of 2004. The paint was as you see it, don't hate, got it my senior year of high school and obviously I thought it was the shit lol. No, I do not still like the paint and as soon as I can afford to, the car will looks damn near stock again... When I bought it the interior was stock except for the seats, stereo, and a couple autometers. It was on the stock 7-bolt and had an intake, downpipe, exhaust, BOV, front mount, and SAFC.
On December 3, 2005 the car cracked a valve and was down for 6 months getting that repaired and upgrading to a new turbo setup. Ran for 2 months on that setup at 10psi (didn't have a logger at the time so just took it easy) and then came the good old rod knock... The "upgrade" I did was dumb anyway, didn't get get everything needed, was still on the stock clutch haha. Rod knocking started in August of 2006 and the car sat for quite a few reasons and has not been down for 15 months. As of a week or so ago it ran again for the first time in a LONG time. Just got done with the 6-bolt swap and right now I just need to get the 2nd new oil pump on and then finally drive it.

The old stereo setup before it got stolen:
The rod knocking 7-bolt:
Cleaned it up:
After all that the car sat for a good while because of a lot of BS. The next part all happened within the last month and a half.New resting place at Shift_Garage here in Pensacola:
The motor bought to replace it. 6-bolt, said to have around 80K mile on it, stripped head bolt. Just basically got everything off of it, cleaned, painted stuff, and put all my stuff/new parts on
Yea thats not me in the background haha
I painted a LOT of stuff but here are a couple things:
-Painted the intake manifold
-Painted intake
-all the other stuff
Trying to get the old ass crank sprocket off. HArd ot explain but two bolt were broken off in it so to get the puller to work we had to weld a stud on it haha. (I had PLENTY of extra parts for this reason so ruining it didn't matter and was much mroe fun!)
Getting that stripped head bolt out.. had a tool we welded but it just twisted and broke. SO had an extra crank bolt and welded that on there
Dropping the 2G head down on, REALLY tight fit...
Forced Performance FP2 cams installed
Just for fun, slapped the turbo on for some pics...valve cover still un-painted
Off the stand for Clutch, oil pan, and tranny install
Its new home
Quick spray on the calipers since they looked like shit (yes thats after cleaning)
Dropping it in
*birdy's thumbs down...dick
Some minor wire tucking for the injectors and other stuff by the manifold. Instead of it laying on top it goes under the manifold now and up through the runners
Proof its not FWD haha
Yea the jack broke...
hahaha
Driveshaft pic
FINALLY got to paint my valve cover, pretty happy with how it turned out
Turbo mounted
Almost done
ANNNND DONE. Turns out the oil pump I had was a faulty one (hopefully..) but I already got a replacement and just waiting to put it on
*all the prosports I have. Yes, I have a ton of gauges and yes, I like them.
Some vids of it first starting up after 15 months of my car not running. Might be a little corny but I was pretty damn excited
http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=22925539 I have SO many more pics but this should be enough. Still haven't driven it yet, but I can't wait to just take it to a car wash adn detail it for hours.
