Check the stickies I have at supraforums (the top of the mk3 section) and supramania (the drag racing section) on how to drag race the mk3. The time of the runs it was 4.3s, stall converter, stripped to shit, nice sticky track and DRs, and sprayed for the major components.

Now I'm on a T62 and a 2JZ manifold.

I say "now I'm on" like I actually drive it. I don't. I drive the honda.

i've only ran 1/8th so far and spin half way down the track but my best time is

8.62 @ 83 mph

worst time was

10.3 @ 82 mph

what's that tell you? LOL

My best 8th mile, 8.5x forget mph, I think it was high 80s...

Have the slip back in Florida..haven't been in the country for more then 2 weeks in the past 2 years so it's been awhile since I was last at the track.
Ran a 13.9 @ 98mph when I first got my car. Modd's haven't been heavy since then so I guess the times would be pretty close.

Rob, dont sweat it man... Its funny when people think drag racing is so easy, I mean, it oughta be, yur just goin in a straight line... But in actuality, it takes alot of practice... It takes the right set up... There's so much to it... My 8.5x time came at 360rwhp... When I was at 500+rwhp, I couldnt get out of the 9s... It was retarded... But I couldnt get the power down, and I couldnt get enough track time in to get used to it before I tore it apart... It takes seat time, simply put, you gotta practice practice... People ask me all the time, what times will my car make... Good question, my CAR will be a 10sec car, the DRIVER is another story, lol, driver will probably be a 12 or high 11 second driver, lol, if Im lucky...

It def takes getting used to. First time I went to the track I ran a 14.2..took the third time and practice in between to hit 13.9 with just exhaust and intake. But I have seen people pull off 13.9's basically stock. I got some stuff coming together before I get home. Hopefully I'll be able to get up to the track and break some personal bests!
