When'r you gonna get some real wheels?

I'm waiting on that. I want to get them the same time I get my suspension set up. And I don't have the money for all of that right now. Maybe come Summertime I can do all that. We'll see. And it also depends on if I come across a good deal. I might throw the other wheels back on till then...they're 13's though...look like this:
Steelies are Getting Old... 6kz8dgi

Except for that it also has a cap that goes on the center part with an "H" on it. I think they're from an old 89 Accord or something...don't think they're Civic wheels though. They're the wheels that came with the car when I bought it. But I might do it just because I'm kinda tired of the steelies.

I love those wheels. So simple but so cool looking cause they're super old school.

Yeah...I like 'em too because not many people have them and they're pretty clean too. I only took them off because I don't get ANY traction with them. I can peel out in 5th gear...HAHA lol! Seriously...when VTEC kicks in it spins like a turbo spooled up(I'm not being a vtec nerd either Steelies are Getting Old... 808316 ).But I'll probably put them back on tomorrow if I get off work before the sun goes down. I'll post up some pics if I do. Steelies are Getting Old... 895837

Thought about doing that too, but couldn't decide what size I should get...and Tires are expensive when you start doing non standard sizing. Shocked

235's a little big for me on 13's. I'm thinking maybe a good set of 205/60's...maybe Sumitomo HTR 200's. They're just under 50 Bucks a piece and have a pretty good rating. I've not had them before so I have no personal experience, but 95% of people that got them love them... What a Face

Yeah...the tires that are on there right now are like 165/70's...talk about NO TRACTION...that's why I took them off. The 15's that I have right now only have 195/65 or something like that...I still have traction issues all day long, but not as bad as I did with the 13's. Neutral

They're alright, but I'm not going for HUGE stickin out the side of the car tires. I just want something that will grip and not look like bicycle tires. I'm thinking about just keeping the 13's for now, but how wide of a tire will fit on 13X5's?

5" wide wheels?

Steelies are Getting Old... 502821

That is insane, man. Sorry, that just cracks me up.

I believe the largest you can fit on that is a 205/60.

I know...it's crazy...once again, that's why I took them off. But that's what I thought on the size. That's why I think I might get some Sumitomo HTR 200's because they have a comfortable/quiet ride and decent grip from the reviews. AND THEY'RE CHEAP... Steelies are Getting Old... 895837

Yeah, sumitomos are the cheap. Do what's best for now, man. I'm having to start over with my new car so I'm sort of in the same boat.

I did...it looks clean. And from what everyone's saying about Sumitomos, they're pretty good and one dude had them for 55,000 miles and lasted him well...for $47 a piece, I guess you can't really beat that deal. cheers

OH...and I found out they're from a 91 accord...i'm sure they used them on other's too, but definitely on that year. Here's what they look like with the cap...

Yeah...I was thinking that, but I saw this picture. So that means that I was closer the first time...I looked a little harder and they came off a 86-87 Accord. They look just like those though...that's my point. Here's a pic with the 86 Accord having the 13's and 4X100 (for Joey Steelies are Getting Old... 550103 ).

Yeh, you really get hosed trying to find a decent tire in 13. 14 is the same way. 15 gets "okay."

No Joke...it's like Sumitomo's or slicks are the only thing for 13's...especially 13X5's. If they were wider, i'd have a better selection. I'll probably just end up leaving the stealies on until I can afford something else. Neutral

Well, I have bills to pay still. I'm getting married in October, so I'm trying to get my debt caught up before then...so no mulah for me for now. Shocked

But I'm pretty much trying to get caught up by March, so after that I should have a little bit. That's why I mentioned at the top that hopefully by Summer I'll have a nice drop and some wheels. Steelies are Getting Old... 550103
