came across this on another forum. real sad. shows what happens when (from what i'm assuming) parents spoil their children with cars... without showing them how to handle them. I know there are exceptions (such as me, i was driving 500-600 hp cars when i was 16).

im going to say something really f*D up but I wish it would happen here. maybe then some of these kids will learn what several of the mods and I are talking about when we say dont do stupid things. But each time I do I get brushed off.

I've been driving 400+ hp cars since I was 16 and swpping motors since i was 17. I do agree that it is Absolutely Idiotic for a parent to buy their child an expinsive car. I think that a kid should have to buy their first vehicle and repair it when needed. Otherwise they will have less respect for the vehicle and when they are out on their own and dont have mommy and daddy repairing stuff when they break it, they will just be stupid with it. JMO

i had a 10 second car that i built when i was 17 in high school. no im not talking 1/8th mile either. it was a pro street 70 roadrunner http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/2/web/170000-170999/170294_55_full.jpg

my dad slowly let me drive/experience faster and faster cars, as he showed me, gave me advice etc.

i had to do my own maintenance, pay for it, etc. etc. shit.. i still do lol (my own maintenance etc.)
