Winter Tuesday Meets

Subject: Winter Tuesday Meets Sun 16 Dec 2007, 3:18 pm

I was just talking with Riku about how the weird warm-day/cold-night weather's going to stop and it's just gonna be cold day and night. So, I thought I'd suggest our meets start at 7:00pm instead of 8:00pm because, like I said, it's gonna be colder and it's already getting darker earlier.

And really, I think no one wants to be out in the cold in the middle of the night for too long. It's just a suggestion, not sure if it'll be acted on, though.

I totally second that. -Nod.- I don't know about the rest of you, but I have a slight issue with catching pneumonia b/c we're all out in 32 degree weather for 3 hours. Sorry guys, but I don't like to be sick.

At least if we have a 7:00pm meet on Tuesdays, it won't be completely freezing ass cold. I don't mind the nighttime..but it's the fact that once that sun disappears, it gets cold enough to cut glass if ya know what I mean. Besides, I know there's quite a few people who are still in school whose parents won't allow them to stay out too long. And some of us LIKE getting beauty rest so we aren't all haggard looking in the morning from staying up so late. So I think 7:00 is a pretty decent time, ne?

i agree w/ Mr. kawi....and people tend to get off early anyways on a friday....something to look forward to on a friday....

Friday night might work for a couple weeks but Friday is when alot of people go to the track in Holt. Also, alot of people work Friday night...at least servers and what not.

It reopens in January sometime so like I said, Friday would work for a little while.

Friday's till it reopens? I still say at 7PM (if we stick with Tuesday or any other day), even then it shouldn't last for more than.. I don't know, three hours? That way most of us that have to be up early the next morning don't have to worry about being half-dead. Plus, you're not obliged to stay for the whole time, you can just bounce early if need be.

Well why not have a meet on Tuesday and Friday nights so the the people who can't come out on Tuesday can come on Friday nights so every one will have a chance to come out.

You guys don't need the sites permission to have another meet. Just make sure there is enough people who would want to come out on whatever day or whatever time so you aren't just sitting there with like 4 other people.

Oh, it just hit me...a HUGE reason we don't have meets at that spot on Fridays is because the lot is packed! I am sure the owner would not like to miss out on business because some car nerds want to meet there haha!

But still, if you wanted to have another meet somewhere else, just find out how many people want to do it and make sure you have a spot where you won't get kicked out.

Yeah, exactly. So, we don't have to meet on Fridays because of being an inconvenience to them. Originally, I thought it'd be more convenient for us to start earlier so, people don't have to be out later, etc., etc. It's already stated above, a few posts.
