| i dont want to lie to you, so i would say that it should be defined in the paperwork for your warranty what you can do to the car. | |

| I don't think an intake voids the warranty however do find out for sure first. Either way though...an intake isn't that big of a project to change out. If you ever need to take it to the dealer it would only take a few minutes to put the stock one back on. | |

| your warranty should not be voided for anything that makes the car "breath" better | |

| yeah, thats exactly what im saying. less resistance and mor eair = better air fuel mixture. And that equals 5 or so xtra horses. A intake dosent void ANY waranties because it dosent strain the engine at all | |

| The Magnusson-Moss Warranty/Federal Trade Commission Improvement Act of 1975 protects consumers from this type of fraudulent activity by new car dealers. Under this Act, aftermarket equipment that improves performance does not void a vehicle manufacturer's original warranty, unless the warranty clearly states the addition of aftermarket equipment automatically voids your vehicle's warranty or if it can be proven that the aftermarket device is the direct cause of the failure. The easiest way to check this is to look in your owner's manual under, "what is not covered." Under the Magnusson-Moss Act a dealer must prove, not just vocalize, that aftermarket equipment caused the need for repairs before they can deny warranty coverage. If they cannot prove such claim - or offer an explanation - it is your legal right to demand compliance with the warranty. The Federal Trade Commission (202.326.3128) administers the Magnusson-Moss Act and monitors compliance with warranty law. | |

So valve jobs, turbos, or cams don't void your warranty? Dang son. Sorry. Yeah I know it was kind of mean. I am just playin'. I know what you mean. | |
