i thought this movie was horrible. a complete abomination. they didn't follow the actual story at all. i don't even know why it shared the same title because it was nothing like the book.

I agree with J-Pro it could have been so much better than it was. Oh well another 8.50 down the drain.

If it was based on a book, you can never expect it to be even remotely the same. I think that's what will predispose many people to not liking movies. They go in expecting one thing, and when they get something else they get mad.

Here's the best thing I've ever done to increase my movie going enjoyment. Expect nothing. If you go in not thinking it's going to be something, or wanting it to be something, or even expecting it to be good because some of your buddies liked it; if you go in blank you're much more likely to enjoy it.

i didnt know it was a book either till isaw it in a store.

read the book, was pretty good.

from what i've heard the movie is NOTHIGN like the book beyond a few simple things. so i'll prolly enjoy the movie anyways, and just forget that its name is the same as the book.

just like so many other books turned movie.

I think so far the only one that was truly close was 'the mist' and tahts cuz it was just a novella and not an actual book

wasn't the Omega Man the first time the book was made into a movie? I know there was a movie that was made before this one just not sure of the name.

well...i went expecting nothing...and got nothing. it was a great 2/3's of a movie.....then the last 3rd of the movie kind of just went in the poopie hole! still alot better then most of the other hollywood regurgutation out there. i thought it was funny that as the movie ended you could hear EVERYONE in the theater talking about how lame the ending was. anyway....just thought i'd share my opinion of it.

I had absolutely no idea what the movie was about before I saw it. I hadn't seen any previews and I didn't know it was a book so that made it pretty cool. It was scary because I had no idea what to expect.

good movie

Well I just saw this and I thought it was great. Kind of intense in some parts. I kept thinking to myself man I'd just rather not watch this anymore, LOL. Would be even better without all the cussing.

It was a pretty good movie, the opening car scene made me happy. Doesn't surprise me that noone mentioned it yet lol.. then again I think I account for half the domestics on this board.

I'd say atleast a 1/4-1/5 are domestics

Yeah that seen of him chasing the deers was sweet...except those were some crazy deer to outrun that car!

LOL, he wasn't trying to run em down, if you payed attention he was trying to get side by side with them to get a good clear shot.

i just watched this movie tonight, i thought it was pretty decent, tho the ending was kinda weak. but any of you who saw the movie i Robot and have read the book know how little themovie follwed the book, but hey, hollywood does what hollywood wants
