What's wrong with my stock B18C-5 type R motor?

I just got a 00' type r recently, and alot of people who drive gsr integras and such say there is something wrong with it. They say things like "it should be faster"...sparkplug wires, sparkplugs, fuel filter and basically everything has never been changed...they are 00' stock. So maybe I need to get it Dynoed, Tuned, etc. I think it is SUPPOSED to be 180hp to the wheels stock, but that's just a rough estimate. I want my stock motor to perform the way it should before I do any mods. I'd appreciate any suggestions!

If it's real carbon fiber, I don't see the problem with it.

look at the cup holder even "push" is in carbon fiber. the car came that way from the factory.

!!!!!! for a true type R! get that bitch clean and keep it as stock as possible. although i dont like type r's for drag racing i would like to have one as a collector car/ fun drive on occasion car.

i think its suppose to have 195 hp stock if im not mistaken and new gsr's have 170.

brandon, those are crank numbers, true whp for a stock gsr is about 145-50, so i would be impressed if a type r made 170 whp.

do not get rid of that car.....ever.

Is this the one that was for sale in Niceville heading towards C-view?

sam your R should be around 168whp that is what i have seen on most of the stock R dyno sheets

A little off topic but you need to detail that interior badly.

It adds 10whp depending on the moons rotation..
