| thanks for the support. its a good feeling to know people appreciate and understand what we do and why. not everyone will always support A war, but they will always support their troops. B | |

| Awesome thread, and thank you all who have been, are in now or plan on joining sometime in the future. Thanks to all the civilians whether spouses of military members or just plain ole civies. Thanks to all you admins and mods that let us post on here. And most of all, thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I am in the military, I have been to Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Korea, Germany and many other places. I have a wife and two kids and I know they suffer more than I do when I'm gone. I couldn't have gotten where I am without them and others like you all. You guys going out soon, I will be praying for all of you, mostly J-pro as he's my boy! HAHA But you guys be safe and know that there is somebody here to help, talk or do anything for you while you're gone. Thanks again, and have a great year. SD | |

| meh, its not like the taliban can go look up the topography of ALL of our operateing bases in google (wait they can...). i am an everything mechanic... that means if the shop truck you drive to and from your errands during work takes a dump, im the guy fixen her (same with everything else in eglins fleet). in baghdad (camp liberty) i was a hmmwv mechanic working for the cops and the army. we worked out of a... shop (a concrete pad with a tin roof, yay!). i think i did good over there, both of the flights of cops that went through there all knew me by my nickname "vogie", and i was the go to guy for anything, and i was always making sure that the vehicles were good to go, even if it meant working an extra couple of hours.. i ended up with a coin from the command chief for my efforts. | |
