| Okay so I've talked to a few people now who say they have done this and they say it's a relatively straight forward swap. Who all on here has done this or has experience in something along these lines? My idea is a crate 350 and possibly a T56 tranny goin into my 87 MKIII. The arguments I've received so far are about half and half. Half being "that's a dumb idea and it'll cost way more than rebuilding a 7mgte to stick in there", and the other half being "that's easy and it'll be much cheaper than sticking a 7mgte in there." While I've had a turbo car before and love them, a 350 is pretty tempting. Granted I've never even done a motor swap, let alone a conversion such as this. But I'm sure with some help from a few people I've met locally, it wouldn't be too bad. Money wise it seems like it would be fairly equal. So I'm open to thoughts and suggestions. Thanks! | |

| Yeah it would be sweet. Plus I wouldn't have to worry about blown head gaskets and all the other commonplace garbage supra owners have to put up with. Still though, a turbocharger always puts a chessher cat grin on my face. Mo opinions! | |

| i think it'd be easier and quicker to go with a built 350, but thats just me. go with what you have more experience with motor wise for the long run. | |

| I talked to another guy today who said he'd be willing to help me if I help him remove some trees from his yard. He's a Chevrolet guru. The mans got pictures of a Porsche 944 project car he brought back from Germany that he stuffed a 350 into and he's in the middle of designing a twin turbo setup for it. He's insane. I tell ya! | |

| Turbo or 350? How about turboed 350! Haha, jk. I don't know...I would have a hard time deciding too. Honestly I would do whatever is done less. I love to do things that you don't see very often. | |

| Yeah, that's how I used to be. Now I'm all about best bang for the buck. Still try to keep em unique on the outside though. | |

| I say stick with the 7M motor, and crank up za booooooost, a JDM swap is cheap for MKIII's, usually around a grand. | |

| well... I think I changed my mind. After I started factoring in setting up a custom cooling system, fuel lines, wiring, etc, I've decided it might be one heck of a lot easier to go turbo 7mgte. So thanks for everyone's opinions anyway. Maybe if I find a gold mine in my back yard and strike it rich I'll change my mind and pay someone to drop and LS2 in there or something. | |

| yeah supercharged ls's are findin their ways into more 944's. I'd like the just turbo mine and call it a day. Yeah there is/was a supra in the local classifieds about two weeks ago with a 350 in it. If I recall, it wasn't super expensive either | |

| You gotta 944? You suck you know that? LOL! Jk. But seriously I wanted one of those for the longest time. I was actually saving my money up to get one for a while but settled for a 240sx. Course that only satisfied me for so long... | |
