| for one they didn't make a silverado back then....it is most likely a chevy 1500 with a 350....what exactly is wrong with the engine? 400 is cheap for a good running truck | |

| if the rod is knocking....don't buy it unless you know how to pull a motor apart and fix it...which would also include pulling everythign and having a machine shop clean it all up | |

You'd be better off gettin a used 454 and dropin it in, then u would if you fixed the knock in the 350. Plus the 454 is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better on gas! Well not really but it would be fun

| you said two things....bearring and knock.....seeing how much you know about mechanics and how much i do...i'd say my guess is right....you're in over your head. either one of those two will involve pulling the motor apart...and a swap...well...again...over your head at this point | |

yeah im 16 you dont need to be a prick about it of course you know more than me that means youre supposed to share the knowledge and help me not be a prick and he told me he replaced the bearings so they are fine...not the cause of the knocking.
