HELP if you know about trucks.

Here's some advice from experience, if its way cheap and has problems someone SAYS they could fix but dont have time and its knocking in the block its probably not a good idea unless you are up for a project and WANT to do the work involved, dont buy something just to get you around that isnt going to get you around for long...

i never said don't buy the truck...i jsut said if it's one of those two things you don't want it.

and everything else is too expensive.
i want a car....too expensive(car and insurance)
i want a truck( everyone says ill spend too much on gas)

I have been to a lot of mechanics throughout the years. shop labor anywhere is usually 60 bucks an hour, if you bring it too them and ask whats wrong without knowing it could take 10 hours to find the problem. BOOM , 600 bucks gone.
Just some good advice, u cant fix ANYTHING up cheap.

A 350 is gonna drink gas man. You can get a completely rebuilt 350 from O'reilly's for like $1,200 plus the old motor as your core, but if you don't have $1,200 in hand, and someone to help you swap motors, your looking at a lot of downtime/heartache. I see a lot of trucks here in Crestucky for sell. You can also find a lot of them on Craigslist.com . I'd pass this one up and look for one you can just jump in and drive. $1,000 will get you one heck of a pickup truck believe it or not. Just be patient bro. Happy hunting!

and i would like to thank you for not talking down to me like everyone else.
but i have decided to pass this truck up.
but im still looking for a z71.
trying to keep it under 2k.
i talked to the guy on the forums i think his name is steve
and he was just tellin me to get a local classifieds list and whatnot
but im gonna get a truck where i dont have to fix the engine
for cheap as well.
