| Hence, put them in their own section. Say that they aren't affiliated with Race850. | |

| I love racing on the street. Just have to be smart about it. It almost sounds like an oxymoron but you people know what I mean. If you wanna give me shit about it please reply so I can own your face. |

- No, as long as a disclaimer is put out confirming that Race850 and it's staff do not support/condone street racing, there is nothing wrong. EVEN IF, cops sat around and decided to browse some videos, there is nothing they can do about it unless people are caught in the act. Video? Not enough to bust someone. People have been doing it for years upon years so I don't see what the big problem is now...
Like I said though... I drive a honda now so I have one rule when I'm the skreets:
RACE EVERYTHING. Yeah after I posted I thought about that. It would make sense that with a disclaimer it would be okay. And sure posting a video won't be enough to get you busted but it would let people know what kind of stuff is going down and where it is happening. But if you think about it...child pornographers get busted alot from their stuff being posted online. Sure there has to be more support than just what is posted on the web to bust them but the site is where alot of the investigations start. I was just saying that I would never post a video containing illegal junk no matter how petty it is.

| Cops have better things to do than track people on forums. I sound ignorant "but I know people" and I am 100% sure on this... |

Maybe. But cops aren't all you have to worry about. I know a guy who missed out on a job because he had pics on his myspace smokendareefa and the place he applied looked him up on some program they have that searches the web. Sucks.

| Most likely. A street race is obvious. Hmmmm, I'm going to try something... edit: Before the race I asked God if it was okay. He didn't respond so I could only assume that it was okay to do so. I was still uneasy about it all so I called the Escambia county sheriff's office. I said "Ma'm my two friend's and I are about to exceed the speeding limit, is that uncommon?" She said "no." So, it's okay! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Zv9K6dDoeI |

| 1st. Street racing is not going to stop you from getting a job at the local best buy or walmart. 2nd. If you post videos/pics of yourself on the net smoking or in any way affiliated with pot, its your own damn fault. 3rd. Since when did cops track down street racers like they track down Pedaphile's. I cant go online and look for the local Street Racers within a 2 mile radius of my house. No sir.
If this is such a big deal. then dont affiliate it with Race850. but dont draw people away from the only local car forum in the area just because you dont approve. or w/e
i dont know. | |

| Wow...way to take two examples extremely literally. I didn't say anything like street racing is like child porn. I was just pointing out that sometimes police will use the internet as a starting point for an investigation if they can't find anywhere else to start. Granted, cops probably won't go searching online to find out where the local racing hot spots are or anything. I was just saying they could if they wanted. And don't be so sure cops around here don't have anything better to do. In other threads on this site I see people say "Dont cops have anything better to do than pull people over for window tint" or any amount of other dumb things that cops pull people over for...apparently they don't so what makes you think these same cops wouldn't do this? Other than the fact that it might take too much effort. As for losing a job oppurtunity...what if you wanted a job where you would drive a company car? If the employer is aware that you street race he might not be so willing to hand you the keys. Just to let everyone know...I don't really care what you do on your own time. If street racing is your thing then whatev bev. Like I said, I have done it in the past but had a very scary moment so I stopped. That was back when I was young and dumb. All I am saying is that I would never post anything illegal on the web no matter how petty it is. Why is it such a big deal that you have to obey what the admins say? They made the site and therefore can choose to have and not have what they want on it. There are some things that I don't like that go on in this site but I just keep it to myself because it really isn't that big of a deal. | |

Alright for everyone who keeps on saying this... it makes no sense. Even if we made this thread, it is on our site, therefore it is still gong to be affiliated with us... sorry to disappoint you. And like every admin and mod has said, its not that we are saying DONT STREET RACE, we are saying DONT POST IT ON HERE. Whats so hard to understand? There is Street Fire or Youtube or who knows how any other sites to post your street racing videos on. Just dont do it on here, or they will get deleted. Or for that matter just pm your videos to each other, and we wont know the difference. We cant control that so there you go, it your own street racing thread, lol.

| I know that you're not saying "DON'T STREET RACE". That's not the point that I was trying to make whatsoever. I guess I should have specified that "they", in my previous statement, are the people posting the videos and/or racing in the videos.
For example: Fraley posted that video of the supra on the dyno. That video in no way reflects this web site. It reflects the car, the owner's choice in mods in said car, and the OP's choice in videos. (Depsite the fact that this is a differrent type of video, I think that my example still proves relevant to the discussion.)
+++ On top of that, those videos are from YouTube and Streetfire. Most of them are links, as a matter of fact. I could see if someone tried to host a video on this website's server, but they didn't/aren't trying to. They're just posting a link to a video on another server; therefore, Race850 isn't affiliated

| so if they are already on Youtube and Street fire why not just send them to each other in email or pm form... I dont get what is so hard about this. And race850 IS affliated because its posted ON race850, lets be smart about this | |

| The fact that you're pretty much denying people the right to post a LINK to a video on this forum is what the problem is. | |

| Could that be considered the same as what is posted in the NSFW possibly? With the same type of disclaimer? Maybe by saying, hey look at that video on that one site, heres the link without specifically stating who the members involved are? Then it would be anonymous to anyone who doesnt know them personally... | |
