In all honesty, Evo from a dig at the track is deff not a pushover. This past summer a black one with a boost controller was running 7.5x all night long. His car was basically stock.

If stone has the driver mod he should rape folks with much more done to their cars.

7.5's bone stock? i think not. maybe low 8.s stock. it would be a bit more then stock to take an evo into the 7.5s.

His turbo was stock, Manual boost controller. Oh and meth.. He's a black guy from Panama City it was @ Holt. Disco was there. I'm not sure if he remembers the stock black EVO.

Driver mod is essential @ showing your cars true potential.

Ex: I saw a red supra running 6xx at Holt, Yet kept losing to a Camaro running 7xx..

At the 1/8 mile driver mod weighs very heavily @ the track

Its pretty much stock, just a tad more boost on the stock turbo, and a couple bolt ons, and yes, I watched him run mid to low 7's, and checked out everything under the hood. You would be surprised that an evo with little mods can do 11's in the quarter, it all depends on the driver, it was sick, watching them 1.6-1.7 60ft's. Cool guy out of Panama City, he definately knows how to drive.

thats not stock tho... so thats a lot different.

bolt ons + meth + more boost = not stock

thats like throwing a 100 shot on a car and saying other than the 100 shot its stock

thats not stock at all, you got to remember how easy it is to wake up a 16g, more boost meth plus bolt ons, hell the only thing he doesnt have is cams and a turbo upgrade.

even for said mods, those are really good times. id like to see him out again, sounds liek a good driver.

I never said his car was bone-stock, his car is basically stock. An exhaust, a boost controller, and W/I injection. Doesn't usually have the masses shaking in their boots.

I'm saying if you saw a turbo lancer before he ran at the track with the mods mentioned above, you would NOT expect to see 7.4x and 7.5x times in the 1/8.

I've seen cars will PLENTY more mods and tons of stickers run 8.5xx and up.
So dont underestimate stones evo @ the track.

im not underestimating at all, i know they can do that with said mods, but i didnt think he had them in your original post.

stock evo is what 18psi give or take? with meth /water injection they can run 28 psi, so thats a big difference right there, and 1.7 1.6 60s are the norm for an awd car. i dont think that im jesus at driving and thats all i got in my sti.

Stock means just that: factory stock, even down to the airfilter. What does "basically stock" mean? It was modified. Someone is just using a play on words.

Yeah, he's slightly modded, but nothing internally, thats where you make the power, but usually with turbo'd cars, you can put down some impressive numbers on stock internals, but risk your motor wearing out much quicker. It all depends on the tuning.

evos can easily sustain the 400's with no problems. and all he would need to reach that is cams.

Exactly what it sounds like, basic boltons!! What's up you people? Acting like you never heard the term basically stock before. Or ever heard the word heavily modified!?! There is no definite answer to the question of course. But dont act like you dont know what the hell basically stock means.

If I ask a basically stock honda what mods he/she has.. They would say I/H/E BASIC

In a turbo car, basic mods are boost controller/ intake/ turbo back exhaust! BASIC

basicly stock to me means like intake and exhaust lol, not full bolt ons, meth injection, more boost and a tune, that sounds like a pretty well modified car. lol.

There is no such thing as basically stock in my book unless its something like an air-filter drop in. You can say basically stock, and run a BC on and evo and make serious gains. 18psi right to what is it 23-25maybe on pump gas. Not to mention i bet he was tuned. ECUFlash is some powerful software, and gives very nice gains.

did i say heavily modded? no, i said pretty well modified? read before you type? and the stock srt turbo is way WEAK compared to the evos. it even depends on the car when your classifieing what level it is at i suppose. and i think we all know what heavily modified is. your car is almost in that area in my eyes. well hell you are there the only thing stock is the bottom end yes?

Not its just "Modded". There is a big difference between that and "heaviley Modded", in which i think built motor and larger turbo. There is a big difference in power levels, especially tuning with Meth. I mean maybe if he was running Stock boost levels i would call him basically stock.

So let me see, with an addition to a map clamp and a fuel returnline (and other mods you listed),
which are still pretty basic as bolt-ons are concerened; We can get the
Srt-4 from 230whp - 280-300whp. There is a large difference there. No i
don't consider that basically stock either

Let me start over,

At 1st glance the black evo "looks" basically stock to me. I saw stock turbo meth and a exhaust. Dan said he bet he was tuned. There is no way to tell by looking at a car and tell if it's tuned or not.

My car isn't tuned @ all. I have no fuel controllers, SCT flash nada. Nobody can tell me that after seeing what mods the lancer had, that he would run 7xx consistantly at the track. After his runs looking at some of the faces @ the track they were some stunned looks.

I've personally seen lancers with built motors, cams etc in pensacola run 8xx at Holt. The main idea behind my post was dont sleep on stones lancer at the track, because Stone said his car has a stock turbo.. Maybe just maybe he also has a toon and meth.

i understand what your sayin. i dont know about srt4s, thats what dan is for.

but i do know, you WILL not run high boost with meth on an evo with out a tune. thats like lighting a firecracker in a closed fist.

and im assuming with those numbers at the track that he is running at least 28 lbs if not more, being as it is capable to run around 25 on pump gas if you have a tuner like dapper dan.
